Our Smart Film is custom-cut for your glass, so accurate measurements should be confirmed before ordering. Measure each pane separately, including doors, and allow the installation tolerance specified in our guidance. Although film can physically be trimmed, cutting outside our factory can void warranty coverage. Yes. Smart Glass and Smart Film can be used on moving glass doors when the wiring is designed for the door’s operation. Swing doors may use a protected power transfer loop, while sliding doors can use magnetic connectors, spring cables, or concealed wire harnesses. Share the door type, hardware, and travel distance so we can recommend a compatible arrangement, including for pocket doors.

Switchable Glass and Film connect to a suitable transformer/controller, which supplies the required power to the switchable panels. Your project needs a power source, planned cable routes, and space for accessible electrical components. Electrical wiring should be completed by a licensed electrician. The quote should identify who supplies and installs each component, including whether a new outlet or circuit is required.

Yes. The system can be designed with independent privacy zones, allowing one conference room to become frosted while another remains transparent. Multiple panels can also switch together as a group. Smart Glass and Smart Film can be operated through wall switches, remotes, and compatible automation systems. Integration depends on the specific controller and building system; an existing switch or dimmer should be checked before use. Our controller and automation guide explains the available interfaces. Share the make and model of your controls with us and your electrician so compatibility, required interfaces, and any privacy scenes can be confirmed.

Visual privacy and sound privacy should be specified separately. Adding Smart Film addresses visibility through existing glass; confidential conversations also require an appropriate acoustic enclosure. Standard white PDLC Smart Glass and Smart Film create frosted privacy while continuing to transmit light. They do not provide blackout conditions. If your main goal is reducing brightness for presentations, tell us about the windows, daylight, and screen position so we can discuss darker or tinted options like our dyed black smart glass.

Our published standard Smart Film size is up to 72 inches wide × 150 inches long. Smart Glass has a standard width of 71 inches, with custom widths up to 78 inches and lengths up to 150 inches, subject to the specification. Larger areas may require multiple pieces or panels. Smart Film is typically manufactured and ready for dispatch within 10–21 days, while Smart Glass may require six weeks or more. Shipping and installation add to the overall schedule. Our current Smart Film warranties are three years for Classic, five years for Crystal Clear, and seven years for Ultra Clear. Smart Glass and Smart Glass SPACES coverage depends on the selected product. Correct installation, approved electrical components, non-acidic silicone sealing, and warranty registration are required.
